Dear hiring team at [your company],
In 2025, it is almost impossible to go about one’s day without interacting with AI. We are constantly asked if we want to make, edit, or improve with AI. Huge percentages of people are outsourcing the very human traits of simple creativity and interaction with other human beings. While there are many, many good uses for computer-powered generation and analysis, I am personally baffled. If you ask ChatGPT to write you a story, you’ve missed out on the best part of the story: writing it yourself. If you generate an essay from outside your own mind, you haven’t worked the mental muscles that allow you to put across your ideas in a clear, organized fashion.
I am one of the many writers still using their own brain. I started writing stories as a child and never stopped. I feel the flow of the English language easily and can use it well. You can be confident that my work is 100% produced by me unless appropriately cited. My mind flourishes best in the sci-fi and fantasy realm, but in addition to this, I am keen on research and learning about new technology and progression in science. I find these topics fascinating and inspiring. I enjoy going into extreme detail where it fits, such as in SOPs and medical or scientific documentation.
In submitting my application, I am confident that my personal and professional goals as well as my ethics align with those of [your company]. I look forward to the chance to discuss my resume and how my experience and knowledge will be a positive impact on your team.
With gratitude,
Erik Dossier
